Coming right along

Last night I finished the last two blocks of Joseph's quilt. These are the two heart blocks I had to do over because the hearts were fused on in the wrong direction. I don't have the sashing strips cut out yet but I couldn't resist laying them out to see how they look. I really like the way it all fits together! The rest should be easy - except for one thing. In my entire stash it doesn't appear that I have a good fabric for the outside border. I'm hoping when I get the rest of it together that I'll find something that works. I really wanted to make this entire quilt from stash.

Hi Patti, so nice to see the blocks for Joseph's quilt again. You could always so a sort of patchwork for a border...crayon colors? Piano keys? Rail fence? Of course any of those/that might be too busy...just a thought..*VBS*

And of course I needed to tell you...*VBS*, "of course you are!!!, first, foremost and always....you got a friend, we have a bond"...just keep being you. I can hardly wait for you to experience retirement..*VBS* With grandchildren, it gets even better!

I'm looking for some quick 4th of July inspirations...gotta go look at what you decorated with..*S* Big hugs, Finn

Oh Patti - it's just darling *s* Darn the bad luck of needing to shop for a border . . . but you know you'll find just the right piece.

Oh Joseph's quilt is looking way too adorable. Why not piece together a scrappy border? It would go along with all of the other bright fabrics and allow you to use stash!
