Progressing well

All the shelves are together and bolted to the walls. Aren't they beautiful! The white looks so pretty against the green walls, and the room is so much lighter and brighter.

All the large pieces of fabric are put away. All that's left is refolding the fat quarters - hundreds of them. At least I'm doing it quickly. I decided not to iron them again - in spite of my compulsive A-type personality - and they look just fine. I'll have to iron them again when I use them anyway.

This afternoon we'll clean the carpet when Fred gets home from golfing, and then we'll put the center island together. It's getting there!

I needed to put together this corner so it would start feeling like my own room again.

All the larger rulers have moved to the closet wall, and the narrow, long rulers next to the cabinets in the closet corner.

Oh my, Patti - it's beautiful. Looks like a candy store. Yummy!

I can't wait to see it with your center island cutting table.

Oooh wow - those empty shelves are so exciting! A place for everything! You have inspired major sewing room jealousy on my part :)

Oh it looks fabulous! Now the type-A me has to point out that the center top shelf in the skinny cabinet is one knotch higher than the rest...did you know that? Good for you not ironing, I did about half and half only ironing what wouldn't lay down.

It took me a minute to figure out how pairs of 2 didn't quite equal 5 but then I realized you bought the single cabinet to fit. Perfect! Hubby has forbidden me from looking anymore..fat chance..he sees a trip to the IKEA an hour away in the next year to possibly get cabinets!

You'll have to give guided tours...LOL I'm signing up right away and drooling all over my keyboard! Hugs, Finn

They look great Patti. I know you'll love them and I can't believe how quickly you've gotten the fabric folded and on the shelves.

Wow Patti, it looks amazing. I was also wondering which cabinets you had used. I was browsing the Ikea catalogue and couldn't decide which ones they were.

What a delectable space. Now, Patti, what you need to do when you're all finished is make a movie showing us the studio in action :-).

Wow, you have some fabric! Good for you. I too love the white against the green. I can so relate to the refolding and ironing dliemma - my obsessive compulsive disorder rears it's ugly head! I just wish it applied to housework and exercise too...

I'm thoroughly enjoying seeing the progress being made in your sewing room...Isn't Ikea great!!! The white cabinets look great and having doors on them means your fabric won't get dusty. It should be quite an inspirational room to work in...keep posting those pics :o)
