I just couldn't resist posting these two pictures than my daughter-in-law sent me tonight. Being a grandma is just the very best!
It took me all weekend, but I finally got all the hour glass blocks pressed and trimmed. There must be hundreds of them. This is a good stopping place I think, so tomorrow evening I'll clean off the cutting table and get back to sewing string blocks. Cher and I are having another cutting session next Saturday, so I have to make sure there is room for both of us to work.
I hope everyone had a wonderfully quilty weekend!
************ Gratitudes:
1. Good arch supports in my shoes - I stood almost all weekend! 2. A plastic tote full of completed hour glasses 3. Homemade turkey soup from the freezer. 4. Freshly washed flannel sheets 5. Two patchwork quilts on our bed for snuggling under in the winter

It is never boring looking at pictures of beautiful babies. She is just such a pretty baby. I bet she looks perfect all wrapped up in the quilt that grandma made special!
Your granddaughter is beautiful!! Have fun with Cher this weekend and say hi for me. Hope to see you both again on the next Oregon trip (probably Summer 2008 :( )
She is just beautiful and how could we possibly get bored seeing pictures? We saw Hampton on the webcam yesterday afternoon for about 30 minutes and it was just wonderful. Yesterday was his 3 month birthday...we sang and talked to him and he just smiled and chattered away. Oh I wish they were closer. Give Sophie lots of hugs and kisses.
so, so precious. what a wonderful blessing your family has! i've loved reading about your mid-century album class. i remember when you had first started it. i wish they had somthing like that around my parts.
There is nothing boreing about that adorable little angel!!! About how old is this little cutie?? She looks so sweet in that hoodie! :c) ~Bonnie in SE Texas
Sweetest baby ever! She is just gorgeous. You have every right to be proud and we're so blessed you share her pictures with us. Oh, love the hourglasses, too! lol
I will have to post another photo of Alice pretty soon to keep up with you LOL...nice work on all the hourglass blocks...I am still pressing fabric for cutting.
Patti, Thank you for visiting me over at my blog. The pineapple top was really fun to make. I have been meaning to comment on your blog for quite some time but am usually cut short before I can finish reading a new entry and can comment. You really are very inspiring to me in the quilts you make and your organization. Thank you for being a blogger. Your grand daughter is adorable. New babies are so exciting!! Best, Catherine
