Recent Projects

I don't seem to do anything except knit these days.

This green and blue shawl is my first lace project. Very simple. The fabulous yarn from Three Irish Girls is stunning.

The blue and gray shawl is wonderfully warm; I've already worn it several times. Looks great with jeans. This yarn came out of the sale bin at our local yarn shop. It's Rusti
c by Cascade Yarns. The pattern is the Feather and Fan shawl from the book "Folk Shawls".

This sculpture stands in the atrium at the local coffee shop where we meet on Tuesdays to knit. It's a great "dress form"

These socks are made from a
yarn specially dyed for our local shop by Stitchy Jones. These simple lace socks were designed by Betsy McCarthy, who is in my Tuesday group. Her book "Knit Socks!" is great for learning how to make socks.

Lovely knitty goodies! What pattern did you use for gray and blue shawl? A feather and fan variation? I'm deep into socks and shawls lately and always on the lookout for great patterns. Thanks for sharing --

It's the Feather and Fan shawl from the book "Folk Shawls". I should have put that in the post - I'll add it.

Your pointy sticks have been turbo flying! I've made the feather and fan shawl too. You are right, it is warm. The green and blue shawl is lovely. What is the name of the pattern?

I have been doing a lot of knitting over the last year too but I feel a quilting spell coming on. I am so happy to see you posting again.

These are fabulous! My grandmother taught me the basics as a child. I wish I would have continued so that I could knit!
