This is SO much fun. Just like quilting - one never knows what the finished project will look like until it's almost done. I can hardly wait to finish a pair.
Especially with the new shoes I bought this week that are open enough to show off my socks LOL!
It certainly does look like a sock! Very nice.
ReplyDeletelooking good!
ReplyDeleteM makes a lot of socks, will send you pictures.
tip here though STOP buying yarn for socks though as you will find certain brands feel the best, wash and hold up the best and you won't want tomake anymore pairs of socks from "certain" brands.
M's favorite sock yarn is Lorna's Lace
it is amazingly soft and comfortable and when you wash them they go right back to the original shape
just something for you to think about...

ReplyDeleteHi Patti,
ReplyDeleteI'm a friend of Lorre, we met in Belgium but now I'm living in Germany (Originally I come from Finland)
I love your knitting, I did my first socks last year and this winter I have done already 5 pairs. I love making them.
My quilting is so much behing your's or Lorre's. In Belgium I took apart one of Lorre's courses and I learned sooo much. I know this is my thing. I love making quilts but now I'm on my own in Munich. My daily joy is follow what Lorre and her friends are doing and I was so happy to see that some one else have taken a step aside and start to make socks.
I have my computer right next to my new sewing machine so I get entertained by watching your beautiful quilts. I haven't start my blog yet (hah) but my daughter has promised to make one for me.
Have a nice day
Soile
It is really difficult to make a pair of socks...and I really like the mixed color combination that you have chosen.
