The fabric makes all the difference

It took a little while for me to realize that it wasn't the red outside triangles that I didn't like in the picture I posted a little over a week ago. I liked the red - I just didn't like the fabrics that I dug out of my stash to use. So Tuesday I went shopping- I mentioned that yesterday. Today I cut red triangles from the new fabrics and pinned them onto the design wall. What a difference! This quilt now sings to me just as I imagined it would. It took the correct red fabrics to make the difference.

Now I'm so eager to prep the last four applique blocks, get them stitched, and sew part of this top together.

    your right the right color/fabric makes the quilt for me too, thats why we need to sometimes buy the right pieces for our current project
    Seeing these blocks on your wall makes me want to make this quilt
    I have always loved this one.. YOurs is looking wonderful....
    I may have to pull out the pattern and start!
    I am in between projects...
    LOL
    can't find what I want to work on to tell you the truth!

    The new reds look so much better than the old ones. I'm glad you decided to stick with your original color plan. I have the pattern and you are tempting me to get started on it. I'm so glad you are back to blogging.
