I just got off the phone with our daughter, who called from work to tell us that they should have Joseph's Guatemalan birth certificate in the next 3-4 days! This means they are getting close to the end of this incredibly long adoption process. Next comes the second DNA test, which takes about three weeks. If all goes well they should be on a plane to Guatemala to pick him up in 4-6 weeks!
Oh patti this is so exciting. I am so happy for all of you, I know how hard this has been on all of you. Wait to you read what happened here today on my blog....want to make it too? Kathie
Yes, this is exciting news indeed! This little fellow has many people eagerly anticipating his arrival--including many of us who have kept tabs on the progress out here in "Blogland".
Just wonderful news indeed! ALso congrats again on the retirement and glad you had such a lovely party. I imagine it will feel strange for a while yet. I didn't retire in the same sense you did, but it was odd at first knowing I didn't have to go anywhere. Now it's second nature!
That is so exciting! Yes, you had better get on the ball making some baby quilts. He is such a cutie! I'm sure he will be spoiled rotten.
